Want to get involved in Morecambe Bay Day 2025?

Taking place on Wednesday 15 October 2025, 'Morecambe Bay Day' is an opportunity for your school or nursery group to celebrate Morecambe Bay and have some fun while fundraising for a very special cause.

Want to get involved in Morecambe Bay Day 2025?

This exciting school’s initiative will take place on Wednesday 15th October 2025 and we’re inviting all schools around the Bay to take part.

What is Morecambe Bay Day?

First launched by us in 2024, it's a great opportunity to celebrate the amazing landscapes, heritage, and spectacular nature that we are all fortunate to have on our doorstep. It's a chance to come together to explore what makes Morecambe Bay and our communities so special.

Why get involved?

Last year participating schools did some amazing learning - and fundraising to help the Bay too. From litter picks around the Bay, to drawing birds and wildlife, to singing, learning and fundraising went hand in hand.

Once again, we’re encouraging fundraising ideas that engage with Morecambe Bay and raise money to help projects taking place around the Bay. All money raised via Morecambe Bay Day helps programmes that:

  • support young people to access the outdoors & develop new skills
  • improve physical access for all around the Bay
  • protect and help nature that’s in decline
  • care for local heritage at risk
  • keep Morecambe Bay special

Want to know more?

If you're interested, let us know and you'll receive ideas, inspiration and resources helping you discover more about Morecambe Bay and how you and your school can celebrate the day.

And this year, we’re excited to be teaming up with the amazing Morecambe Bay Curriculum team at Lancaster University. That means we can offer you even more imaginative ideas and resources for your school or group.

How to donate funds raised

You can donate funds raised for Morecambe Bay via our Justgiving page, make a one off donation through the website or alternatively please contact us. All funds raised support programmes in Morecambe Bay. If you would like to further understand what funding achieved for Morecambe Bay in 2024, please watch a short impact film here (2 mins).
