Our current projects

All our programmes are rooted in Morecambe Bay. From youth social action & beach care to our mobility scooter & Tramper hire network, find out more about our programmes for 2024 below.

Our programmes are made possible by the support of the following organisations; Ernest Cook Charitable Trust, CLA Charitable Trust, Francis Scott Trust, Garfield Weston Foundation, Westmorland & Furness Council, Department for Levelling Up (through Westmorland & Furness Council) & Environment Agency Flood & Coastal Resilience Programme (through Wyre Council).

We believe passionately in the benefits of understanding our natural environment & local heritage. If you experience it directly, there is more chance that you’ll respect, love & care for it. Our work helps more people experience the wonder of Morecambe Bay, especially those who can't always do so.

We're helping young people in Morecambe Bay become Blue Influencers so they can make a positive impact on their coastal environment through social action in their communities.

Our Future Coast

In this 5 year project we are working with Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Wyre Council and Lancaster University amongst others, to increase the resilience of coastal communities against sea-level rise & storm-water flooding as a result of climate change.

Ways Around The Bay

Ways Around the Bay is an interactive route planner for cycling, walking and accessible trails around Morecambe Bay. Plan all your walking, cycling and wheeling routes according to your needs and level of ability. Create your own itinerary or enjoy pre-planned routes.

Grange-Over-Sands Active Travel & Community Hub

The hub is now open by appointment! We are offering hire of e-bikes and mobility scooters at Grange-Over-Sands train station.

Arnside to Grange Trail - final stage of feasibility

The creation of an accessible route across the Arnside Viaduct has been an aspiration for many local people and organisations. We have secured funding from Westmorland & Furness Council to complete the final stage of feasibility into the Arnside to Grange Trail.
