Great Customer Care is great business and builds loyal visitors

We want visitors to Morecambe Bay to feel our love for the area and come back again and again.  This new training course has been designed especially for us.  It brings together great customer care training with information about Morecambe Bay.  We want staff working in hotels, guest houses, cafes who meet our visitors to be confident in selling Morecambe Bay, the brand and the offer.

It is really exciting that over 100 people have now completed this training which was developed with our partners at Marketing Lancashire and Cumbria Tourism. This includes several inhouse courses at RSPB Leighton Moss, Bay Tourism and several at the Midland Hotel.  Douglas Dale of English Lakes Group, the Manager at the Midland said

The brand new Welcome to Morecambe Bay training course is aimed at supporting businesses in the Morecambe Bay area to find out what it takes to give great customer care, build your knowledge of the great things to see and do in the Morecambe Bay area, meet with other businesses in the tourism industry and get yourself a qualification to go with it! 

With Coastal Communities Fund support we are subsiding the cost of the first 180 places on this course - making it just £30+VAT, or £25 + VAT for in-house training, minimum 8 places (the national rate for the equivalent course is £108+VAT).  The £30 fee also includes the registration and certification fee for the City and Guilds Level 2 Award in the Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism.  When over half your staff have completed this training you can add a Welcome to Excellence badge on your company's website and publicity.
