Boosting the Bay's businesses

Toolkit and visitor guides

Please download and make use of the Toolkit and Guides below to help make your visitors' experience of Morecambe Bay extra special.

What are they?

The Sense of Place toolkit and Nature on your Doorstep guides are designed to help businesses give visitors a richer experience when they visit the Morecambe Bay area for their holiday or break.  Businesses can use the ideas, information, quotes and photos from the toolkit. We hope these tools will encourage them to stay for more than a day and come back to visit another time.

What do they cover?

The Morecambe Bay Sense of Place toolkit and Nature on your Doorstep guides celebrate the area’s unique attractions. The Toolkit provides detailed information about the Bay’s most dramatic views and amazing wildlife sites, its rich cultural and culinary heritage, as well as the best places for outdoor recreation such as hiking and cycling. The Doorstep guides focus on nine areas around the Bay from Walney to Wyre, and give ideas for several days of exploration in each area.

The Toolkit and Guides have been developed by the Morecambe Bay Local Nature Partnership, Nature Improvement Area, Morecambe Bay Partnership, Coastal Communities Fund and RSPB’s Futurescapes programme.
