Anna Gillespie, creator of SHIP speaking as part of the Sunset Series 2021

2 years ago SHIP was launched at Half Moon Bay, Heysham. To mark this birthday we welcomed Anna Gillespie, the sculptor, to tell her story in a Sunset Series artist talk.

You can watch it again along with the other talks on our YouTube channel.

Anna's spoke very directly of her personal creative journey from youthful rebellion to motherhood. How her concern for the environment, joined with that for the plight of refugees, and how she came together with Morecambe Bay Partnership to bring SHIP to our shore at Heysham.
