Silloth West Beach Clean

Silloth means ‘sea-barn’ in Old English because the monks of nearby Abbeytown stored grain there in centuries past.  We could fill a barn with modern beach rubbish which we find here: a fridge, half a boat, ropes, nets, plastic barrels and a thousand smaller things.

Meet/park in the free West Beach car park, reached by passing the end of the harbour, then Silloth Golf Club and next heading straight on over yellow speed bumps.

All equipment is provided, however young people under 16 must be acompanied by an adult
