Where: Arnside Knott

Emily the Epic Explorer has made an extraordinary discovery - Morecambe Bay is ALIVE! In fact, the bay itself is a huge mouth. And this mouth is hungry! With the ebb and flow of every tide, it feeds. But not everything is swallowed forever. Lots of things are spat out again for us to find. We just need to know how to look, and then we’ll discover the clues. And with the right clues, we can unlock the secret stories of the the Bay. Can you come and be a explorer too?

Arnside Knott, overlooking the sands where horses once pulled carts of ‘black gold’ through the waters and thousands of birds from across the world meet every year, has stories scattered like treasures across the landscape. But to find them we must know where to look!

With exploring eyes, there is a giant’s eyeball to discover, cruel Fairies playing wicked tricks, and families from days long gone using the ancient trade routes to hurry across the sands. If the right clues come together, we may even unlock the epic tale of the King of the Sands.

This is a guided walk on Arnside Knott lasting approximately 90 minutes led by storyteller, Emily Hennessey (www.emilyhennessey.co.uk).
Suitable for all ages 7+.

Please come suitably dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy outdoor shoes.
