Get to Grips with Grasses

When: Saturday 9th June, 10am - 3pm (indoors 10am to 12pm then out on sites in afternoon)

Where: : Green Room, Gaskell Hall, Silverdale

Booking: Essential, please book here

Cost: FREE

Walk through any field or along any country lane and you’ll notice at this time of year that there’s a huge variety of different sizes and shapes of grasses. Look closer at their flowering heads and you’ll see how beautiful they really are.

Join us to find out how to identify different grass species and what you can tell about the land through looking at what grasses are growing (and impress friends and family with your new-found knowledge!).

This is an introductory course, which we’ll run in an informal way, designed to help you get to grips with grasses and understand what’s under your feet.

Please bring packed lunch/drinks/snacks and hand lens if you have one.
