Heritage Open Days 2017

Join Morecambe Bay Partnership and Greenlane Archaeology for a guided walk around Birkrigg Common discovering its extraordinary archaeological story and more about Birkrigg Stone Circle. Why not bring a picnic and stay for lunch too and enjoy the awesome view.

The meeting point is to the west of the Common at the crossroads of Urswick Road and White Gill Lane (near a large old quarry). For Sat Nav’s use postcode LA12 0PG (the postcode for the houses to the west of the meeting point). There is ample free car parking on the grassy area of the Common around the crossroads. Please park with courtesy to other users of the Common. Meet at 10:45 for a prompt 11:00 start. A map and further information for the event will be emailed upon booking.
