Join us for a one-day recording training session. Help the MBP and CITiZAN team update records of coastal archaeological and paleoenvironmental sites which are exposed along the ever changing shoreline of Morecambe Bay.

  • Learn how to identify sites, make rapid records and report any discoveries made around the shoreline of the Bay (and beyond).
  • During the day participants will be using the CITiZAN mobile app to check and update pre-existing records and record any new sites identified. Mobile devices will be provided but participants can sign up as CITiZAN surveyor and download the app to your mobile phone/tablet prior to the event
  • This training is an extension to the symposium/training held on 30th May. For FREE tickets for the event on 30th May click here.

Attendees will meet at the Forum, Barrow for registration/introductions, before travelling to Walney Island for the recording session. Transport will be provided from Barrow to Walney. Due to the tides and nesting birds the majority of the training will be undertaken at a safe working distance from the high tide line.
