Join us for the full 4 day ride or for just one of the days

We’d love you to join us for any or all of the ride days, including the big finish on Sunday 14 June, from Lancaster down to Glasson Dock… the more the merrier.

Many parts are suitable for novice touring cyclists, and the 110-mile route will provide a brilliant challenge for people new to long distance rides.

You will be able to join us for one day or all the days of cycling - its up to you!

There are three ways you can join in with this inaugural ride of the route:

  • Join the 'led' ride - a small group of riders, led by Sustrans ride leaders and volunteers, will ride a section of the Bay Cycle Way each day, completing the full 110 mile route over 4 days - the pace will be relaxed and there will be plenty of time to savour the stunning landscape and views, take in the beautiful heritage, villages and towns along the route, and of course stop off for that all important tea and cake! Everyone is welcome. See booking links below.
  • Sign -up for our 'self-led' rides of each leg of the route - join us at the start oft he day when you will be provided with a map of the route, a list of interesting features and places you can visit, and the location of the 'end-of-day' gathering point. You can follow and explore the route at your own pace but be a part of this special celebratory event. Book here.
  • Short-distance 'Go explore' rides - Sustrans will also be running some short-distance, Go explore with Sustrans rides led by Sustrans' amazing volunteers, which will cover shorter sections of the route, which will be suitable for all, including families, and will give you a taster of what the Bay Cycle Way has to offer, and hopefully will tempt your to explore more of the route in your own time.
