100 powerful images of the UK’s wildlife and natural habitats exhibited at stunning locations around Morecambe Bay

Location: Grange-over-Sands Promenade.  Also visiting Barrow-in-Furness (1 July - 2 August 2014)

Visit this stunning outdoor exhibition that celebrates the awesomeness of nature.

Visiting 3 locations around Morecambe Bay between May and August 2014, this is a chance to view the inspiring photography of some to the UK's top nature and wildlife photographers.

2020VISION is the most ambitious nature photography project ever staged in the UK, telling the story of the UK’s ecosystem and the services they provide such as clean water, fresh air and productive soils. Twenty of the UK’s top nature and wildlife photographers (including local photographers Peter Cairns, Mark Hamlin, Lorne & Fergus Gill), along with filmmakers and sound recordists, have been involved in the project, capturing breathtaking images of the UK’s natural landscape and wildlife over a 20 month period in the field.

The Roadshow aims to increase the relevance of nature to a wide audience, communicating the value of repairing and reconnecting our natural habitats and encouraging people to actively engage with natural landscapes whether in the wilds of our mountain ranges or in a small pocket of wildness in our towns and cities.

Since its launch in 2012, the exhibition has been to prestigious locations including Edinburgh Botanical Gardens, The National Forest, London's South Bank, Brighton promenade, Blair Castle and soon Morecambe Bay. The project is supported by the Coastal Communities Fund, local businesses and our very own supporters.

The exhibition is completely free of charge.

It is accompanied by a theatre show taking place at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe on 25 June and at Victoria Hall in Grange-over-Sands on 21 August as well as a photography workshop with one of the photographers, Ben Hall, taking place at the beautiful Leighton Moss RSPB reserve in August.
