Grange over Sands Promenade all-ability route

Grange Promenade is the perfect place to watch and listen to wading birds feeding on shellfish and shrimps on the beautiful sands. From here, you can enjoy far-reaching views across the salt-marsh and Kent Estuary to Arnside Knott - and on a clear day, you can even see Blackpool Tower on the horizon. This route is flat tarmac all the way with plenty of seats, refreshment and loo opportunities along the way.

Grange-over-Sands Promenade all-ability route

4 km / 1.25 hours walk duration

Grange Prom is a great place to enjoy the outdoors if you or your companions lack the stamina to walk very far or require the use of a Tramper or wheelchair. The Prom is sufficiently wide with good sightlines to enable easy two-way flow of pedestrians, cyclists and scooter users.

The views towards Arnside Knott are spectacular and if you have young ones with you, there are swings, slides and climbing frames, putting and crazy golf, so the whole family can have a quality day out together.

We are offering a Tramper hire service from Grange Library in partnership with the Community Hub at the Vic. The friendly volunteers are happy to offer advice about routes but the Trampers must be reserved in advance.
