is BeachCare?
BeachCare
aims to improve the appearance, access and
amenity of our coast and beaches. Much
of our work involves encouraging people to
take part in litter picks. We are also
involved in raising awareness of marine litter
issues, lobbying to improve the condition of
the coast and campaigns to reduce the amount
of litter at source. |

Over 10 tonnes
removed by 1300 volunteers...
Since 2003, over 1300
volunteers have worked with us removing over 10
tonnes of litter from our beaches. Much of
this is plastics.
What
do I need to take part?
Wear
comfortable clothing, appropriate to the time of year
and the weather. This could be t-shirts,
sunscreen and a hat or wellies and waterproofs.
We provide gloves, litter pickers and bags.
Under
16?
If
you are under 16 you are very welcome to take part
but please come with an adult.
