Leven Estuary walk
Later
in the summer of 2008 we intend to organise a walk
across the Leven Estuary including a visit to Chapel
Island. Today this Leven Estuary crossing is done
much less often than the Kent Estuary crossing and
yet it is also unique and fascinating.
The
Leven Estuary is adjacent to the Kent - but to the
west. The Leven being the river that drains from
Windermere. The walk would start from near
Ulverston.
We'll
post details here once they are confirmed, so please check again
in a few weeks.
