Regulation
33 advice was published in Jan 2000. It is Natural England’s advice to other relevant
authorities as to (a) the conservation objectives and
(b) any operations which may cause deterioration of
natural habitats or the habitats of species, or
disturbance of species for the Morecambe Bay European
marine site.

Actions by the relevant
authorities to deliver the management scheme were last
reviewed and compiled into an Achievement
Report in 2007.
This Achievement report was presented to the
October 2006 Conference of the Morecambe Bay
Partnership.

The Management Group has
agreed to review and revise this with a tighter focus
on the priority actions.
This revised Action
Plan is a live document that is reviewed at each
Management meeting (every 6 months). The latest Action Plan is dated September 2007.

The local communities around the bay, and our
visitors, benefit from Morecambe Bay being a high quality environment. The
European marine site Management Scheme is an important mechanism to achieve
protection, enhancement and sustainable use of this natural environment.
