The programme is a strong as ever, and we are particularly pleased that Chris Parry, Chair of the new Marine Management Organisation has agreed to speak. 

The Conference will provide an overview of all the important developments around our coast, give you a chance to discuss these with developers and others.  It will also be an important opportunity to begin collaboration with the Marine Management Organisation as it takes on the role of marine planning.

Confirmed speakers include

• Chris Parry, the Chair of the new Marine Management Organisation
   
• Rosie Mathisen, Energy Opportunities Director, Britain’s Energy Coast West Cumbria , talking about new nuclear build, national grid routeing and the Duddon Barrage studies
   
• Matthew Green, of Vattenfall who is the Project Manager of the Ormonde offshore wind farm which begins construction  off Barrow this summer
   
• Richard Tracey, Head of Environmental Quality at the North West Regional Development Agency  on "Adapting the Landscape" a spatial programme across the lower Mersey Basin, connecting Manchester and Liverpool in overcoming critical environmental challenges and seeking a more secure future through energy and food resilience.
   
• Andrew Dobson of Lancaster City Council giving the "View from Here"
   
• Graham Lymbery, Chair of the NW Coastal Group and NW Coastal Forum speaking on coastal defence and programmes and policies to help us adapt to a changing coast.
