The
Partnership held a very successful Conference with over 160 delegates on 8 November 2007 in Grange-over-Sands.
The key-note speaker was Richard Tracey of the Northwest Regional Development Agency,
encouraging us to work together with Cumbria Vision and Lancashire Economic
Partnership to explore the opportunity for a Morecambe Bay Regional Park.
This was our 17th Conference. The programme
was particularly strong with a good overview of recent developments,
including the following speakers:
Richard Tracey from the Northwest Regional
Development Agency,
Bill Cook & Bob Houghton from the Sea Fisheries Committee
Ian Hatton from Eclipse
Andrew Stacey from Stag Energy
Sarah Pemberton from the Environment Agency
and
Environmental Sciences students
from Lancaster University
Posters & Displays - A range of organisations and projects
had displays during the day, including the excellent
'Beach Findings' artists book by Catriona Stamp.
