For one of the lowest tides of the year, we'd like to
take a walk and see if we can identify sub-tidal
creatures that are not normally visible.
This
is a coastal discovery walk. It is aimed at
those with an interest in natural history. If
you have a hand lens or magnifying glass, please bring
them along.
We
are restricting numbers – so please book.

We
ask that all children are accompanied – one adult to
each child.
No
children under 5 years.
The
walking distance is short – less than 1.5 miles in
total, but the ground is slippery and there are areas
of soft mud and rocks. This walk isn’t for you
if your balance is poor or you walk with difficulty or
very slowly.
Please
wear old trainers or sandals – there could be sharp
things like broken glass hidden in the mud.
Bring a spare set of clothes to leave in your car.
Please wear clothes that can be easily washed – you
may fall over on the mud.
We
will meet at 4.45 pm at the Foulney Island car park on
the causeway to Roa Island at GR 233 656.
We’ll do a safety briefing and have a register to
sign in.
We
hope to start the walk at 5 pm and return around 7
pm.
To join us and
register, or have any
questions, please call Susannah Bleakley at the
Morecambe Bay Partnership on 01539 735900 or
