Foulney - Words, Wildfowl and Waders

Foulney is a key site for wintering and breeding birds in Morecambe Bay. Come and read, write, walk and look at this wildlife hotspot. We’ll be watching cooing eiders, fishing grebes and flocks of waders as we explore the site with author of The Gathering Tide, Karen Lloyd, and wildlife expert Mike Douglas from South Lakes Ecology. The first part of the day will be spent indoors looking at inspiring nature writers, and looking out from Roa Island before a guided walk onto Foulney.
