Salt, Sand and Coastal Trade : Morecambe Bay in the Seventeenth Century Bay...

A special morning discovering the fascinating world of probate records with historian Jonathan Cass. He will reveal what probate records can tell us about life around Morecambe Bay in the seventeenth century and uncover new information about the mysterious salt industries. Archivist Vicci McCann will then lead a tour of the Lancashire Archives. The events are free but booking is required for the talk and the tour. Optional extra drop in workshop with Jonathan to explore the original documents after the tour. This event is part of the 2017 Festival of Archaeology
